Come and join me for another fabulous LKV class!

I’ll teach you all the secrets of making trillion bezels the right way and carving a seat for it. You will learn how ro ..carve a perfect slot into the ring shank so the trillion setting extends beyond the ring This ring will be made with sterling but I will show some tricks with using argentium with your 925 silver like …

How to to fuse an Argentium wire around your sterling setting (even after soldering! (A butane torch or acetylane torch is best for fusing argentium. I’ll also show you how to file a curve in in the bottom of your tube and how to correct an Sid mounted outward leaning bezel (which I call a googly eye! ) Another great trick is learning how to use special solder so that it doesn’t run out from underneath the bottom of a curved bezel cause they are never perfect, but don’t worry no now will know with this technique!

Tools required are pretty standard tools that all serious jewelers should own such as a holding device for your ring while setting, burrs, files, sand paper, polishing tools, bending pliers, etc. I do recommend a hammer hand piece with a small rectangle or anvil tip if you want to hammer set the bezels. Alternatively you can use a rocker or pusher and a jewelers hammer to set the trillion. You can set the tube settings with a bezel punch, or just use your bezel pusher. You can decorate to your hearts desire. You will need a torch: butane or, acetylene or propane plus oxygen. You will learn the skills to make it just the way you want it, right from the comfort of your own studio! This Ring is a deliciously modern stunner!
