This class is for intermediate levels who can saw and solder! This class will be teaching fine silver fusing techniques. (no gold taught in this one) I will teach you how to cut & fuse fine silver wires as a design element and also walk you through how to design one, and teach you how to make your own bead cap with or without granules. I’ll also show you how to make a Kidney clasp ear wire. We will be using pre-made bezels, or if you have experience you can make your own! I will be demonsrtrating the reducing flame needed to fuse with the Smith Little (propane oxygen torch) and also with the blow pipe torch for those who really love fusing! Of course you can use your personal favorite torch and fusing method if you have learned to fuse previously.

Tools needed are basic metal smithing tools, torch options mentioned above, flex shaft, Iron binding wire and Silquar pad, Titanium clips to hold up your piece while soldering the layers. Assorted files, burs, polishing tools and jewelers loupe. Optional items: magnetic pin finisher, ultra sonic.
