You will learn to ETCH and create bezel settings from sheet , and carve seats with burs for fancy faceted stones, oval and teardrop (pears) and tube settings. You will also learn to make a riveted bails. I'll teach you how to saw and cut straight bezel shanks in 20g silver. You should already have a basic metalsmith tools, but if you don't of course the expense for tools will be higher. You may use a butane torch, though I only teach with my smith little oxy propane torch.

In this class I will demonstrate how to form oval and pear shapes using only pliers, but will also demonstrate using mandrels., they are not mandatory but you may wish to purchase mandrels in the shapes of your stones. While I do not give out supply lists before you purchase you will need basic metalsmithing tools, , I also recommend you get a miter Jig for cutting straight bezel strips You need a foredom type flex shaft with a foot pedal, set of good files, a set of assorted burs and a few bezels.
