Learn the awesome design possibilities with a flat top ring! You will learn my version of fabricating a LKV Flat top Ring you can add a design element to the top or add a high dome cabochon to make a super elegant ring!

Basic metalsmithing tools are needed such as a dapping punch set, ring mandrel, files etc. I’ll introduce the wonders of using soldering clay to hold your pieces while soldering, but if you prefer you can use binding wire. You will also learn to use a BORIC ACID DIP to make sure you NEVER get fire stain on your sterling silver! I’ll also show you stick soldering. I use and XL wubber plier sto form the rings , but you can also use a 1.2 round plier or a plastic hammer and your dapping punches. Use your fav torch, even butane is a good choice here! No expensive setting tools required I use a wood dowel. Optional tools, bench pillow, rolled sandpaper drums, and small bezel mandrel.

Please feel free to ask questions if you have them by using the contact link in the website menu above.
