This is a FULLY LOADED CLASS! You all know how I LOVE layers. This one is very special it has a FIVE layers! This class is for advanced intermediate and above levels, not for beginners.
I used a rolling mill for texture, but that is optional. You will learn to make a frame and solder on MANY layers including granulation and learn great flame control with your torch.
You will learn to make a bail that opens up with a small hinge on it! This is wonderful for changing from a small chain to a larger one such as a viking knit with end caps or larger pears that might not normally fit though your bail !
While I always recommend a proper torch, you may be able to get buy with butane, but that would be your risk- Hinges are tricky and harder to accomplish with a butane torch so i don’t recommend it. There are no special forming tools required, but several drill bits, files and polishing tips are used and of course basic jeweler tools. (The dangles are purchased pre made (very inexpensive) , as a LOT of focus is required for this project already.
