This class will be all about using the new 940 Argentium metal with soldering and fusing techniques. I will teach you the nuances of working with the new 940, which is a dream to work with , not fussy like the old 935! You will learn to design easily with wires and granulation around a cabochon, and learn how to make a pretty bail! We will be making gallery bezels and learn how to do this entire project with a butane torch!
Tools needed are basic metal smithing tools, Butane torch is recommended., flex shaft, Rolling mill helpful for rolling thinner metal but not mandatory. Assorted files, burs, polishing tools and jewelers loupe. Optional items: Rotary tumbler. You can use an inexpensive hand punch, a hardware store washer, or a wire chopper to make your granules!
